WhoYaKnow Howie

On December 31, 2008, WOMbeat! announced the winner of its "Name our WOMbat" contest. While hundreds of entries were submitted, the winning name came from Tampa's own Brian Murley.

Brian's entry, “WhoYaKnow Howie”, was selected because, not only was it very original, but it encapsuled all the elements of WOMbeat!, including the key value that WOMbeat! offers: Trusted recommendations of local businesses from people you actually know.

According to Brian, he wanted to take his children to the circus this year, and now he has these tickets and more to celebrate with!

Honorable mentions also go out to:
What’s Happening Wally, Buzz, Leonardo DiWOMbat, and WowZa the WOMbat.

We also want to mention that several very clever people also submitted the name Wisdom. We also liked this name because, believe it or not, a group of WOMbats is called a wisdom. We hope you will continue to use WOMbeat! to tap into the collective wisdom of your friends and family for the most trustworthy recommendations.

Thank you to everyone for all your creative submissions. We just had so much fun seeing all the great names!
